Watercolour Brush Lettering
Beginners Workshop
About the class:
We will start by putting colour theory to good use and learn to mix paints and experiment with different palettes to help you find your own style.
The carefully designed workbook will help you to build an understanding of watercolour as a medium, provide tricks and tips for lettering strokes and alphabet and give an insight into some simple and effective patterns that can be created to accompany your lettering.
We will be practicing inspirational phrases, watercolour washes, paint simple florals and leaves, and have a go at lettering greeting cards, place cards, gift tags and quotes.
You will be inspired to keep practicing your new hobby and learn further!
This class is perfect for complete beginners
It's suitable for both, right handed and left handed people. I’ll be there to support and teach you all the tips and tricks to make your learning smooth, enjoyable and productive. You don’t need to have neat handwriting to learn calligraphy, you’ll soon learn that calligraphy focuses on connecting shapes into letters, which is a different technique to that of cursive writing.
